Find Books in the Library Using OneSearch

You can use OneSearch (the large search box on the Library website) to find books, DVDs, and audiobooks at Helena College or other Montana academic libraries (TRAILS).


Helena College

Once you do a search using OneSearch, you will have different options for narrowing down your results on the right side of the screen. Check "Physical items available" to find all print books and DVDs in our library.

Montana Academic Libraries

By default in OneSearch, you are searching all Montana academic libraries. If you find a book or DVD that is not available at Helena College, you can sign in with your NetID to request any item to be sent to Helena College for you to pick up. It usually takes about a week for the book to arrive.

More Local History Books

Local libraries and historical societies are your best bets for finding historical resources on a specific location. Visit or contact the library for the community you are researching to see what's available. Below are just a few suggestions:
