Open Educational Resources (OER)

Information about OERs and resources for finding and using them in your classroom.

Library Resources as Course Materials

Although library resources do not fit the exact definition of an open educational resource, they are free for students to access while they are enrolled at the institution and can enrich a course for which OER are not possible, such as a literature course or one that relies heavily on journal articles for content.

The video below, from Open Oregon, explains the considerations and benefits in more detail.

If you are considering incorporating library resources into your course materials, please contact the library. We are happy to work with you to ensure seamless access for students!
