Search the for "professional organizations" for whatever job or area you want to go into, to find websites for professional associations, organizations, and groups which often have specific career information and resources on them!

Have you found a specific company that you want to work for and has openings?  Do your research! Visit the following sections of a company's website before you submit your cover letter or go in for an interview:

• "About Us" or "About" - Learn the company's mission, their vision and the values that company holds.  Tailor your cover letter and interview to the company to demonstrate that you both value what they do and would fit in with their organizational culture. 
• "News" or "Press Releases" - New projects and/or important changes at the company
• Does the company have a blog or a social media following on Facebook or Twitter?  What do their social media posts say and what audience are they targeting?  

You may need to do additional web searches to find out: who are the company's competitors?, what is their product/service?, and what trends are in their industry? 

By doing some preliminary research on the company you are applying to, you will submit your resume and/or go into an interview feeling rehearsed, relaxed and confident.
